What was it like to find out your were pregnant? I was a nervous mess but knew God had us in good hands. I believe everything happens for a reason.
Describe how it felt the first time you held your Adalynn in your arms: The first time I held her I loved her more then I knew I could love someone. My love for her continues to grow everyday as she continues to amaze me. Ever since then she's been a mommy's girl.
How has being a mom changed you as a person? Being a mom is seriously the best thing ever, I wouldn't trade or for anything in the world! I have become a stronger and more independent woman. I have accomplished things I never knew I could because she gives me the drive to become The best person I can be for her.
What’s the best part about being a mom? Everything! But my favorite would have to be the early morning and late night cuddles. No matter how rough my day was a simple hug and kiss from her makes it automatically better. Hearing her say "I love you mommy" feels so rewarding at the end of a hectic day.
What’s the most challenging thing? As a full time nursing student the most challenging thing is not being able to give her my full attention 24/7 due to class, clinicals, and constant homework and studying.
What do you wish someone would have filled you in on beforehand? I am surprised by how strong my bond is with my daughter. We have such an amazing relationship that keeps growing more then I knew possible.
What do you most wish you could hold onto forever about your kids being little? I wish I could hold onto her little voice saying "mommy". Knowing she wants me and needs me is comforting.
What do you hope Adalynn grows up to become? What type of humans are you trying to raise? I hope Adalynn grows up and becomes whatever makes her happy and reflects her as a strong woman. I want to continue raising her to be respectful, educated, and independent. I want her to not take life for granted and realize how beautiful it really is.
What are your child-rearing philosophies? Respect, honesty, love, and dedication.
If you could give a word of advice or encouragement to other moms, what would it be? Everything will fall into place, no matter how hard it seems. God wouldn't give you more then you can handle. Stay strong, the hard times are what makes you, you.
Do you think moms have the power to change the world? If so, how? I 100% think moms have the power to change the world. Moms are some of the strongest people I've met and shouldn't be underestimated. Moms aren't lying when they say they'd do anything for their children.
Anything else? Ads loves frill, she's such a girly girl at heart yet she loves playing rough with the boys. She's a perfect combination.
