PEYTON :: MOTHERHOOD

INDIANAPOLIS PHOTOGRAPHY, BLOG, STUDIO, FAMILY, CHILDREN What makes your Hadley so special and amazing? Brag away!! Hadley is special to me because she is the greatest blessing I could have ever received. She has made my family so much closer and really showed me what love is all about. She is our 5th generation baby on my mom's side of the family.

What was it like to find out your were pregnant? I was really in shock. I kept it a secret until I was almost 7 months along because I was embarrassed and nervous to tell my family and friends and I never should have felt that way because they were more than understanding.

How has being a mom changed you as a person? Becoming a mom has taught me to be patient and understanding of others. It has taught me to appreciate my own parents more and made me realize why they were they way they were with me.

What’s the best part about being a mom? The best part of being a mommy is waking up and seeing those bug beautiful eyes and smile and knowing that she is all mine and that I get to share the rest of my life with her.

What’s the most challenging thing? The most challenging thing about being a mommy is dealing with people and their opinions on how you should to doing things with your child and how you shouldn't be. It's hard to brush it off sometimes and can be hurtful at times.

What do you most wish you could hold onto forever about your Hadley being little? I wish I could hold onto the cuddles more than anything. I'm not looking forward to Hadley growing up and no longer wanting to cuddle up with me.

What do you hope your Hadley grows up to become? What type of human are you trying to raise? I hope that I raise her to be strong and independent. I want Hadley to know that she can make her dreams come true and to never give up on what she really wants. Hadley can be and do whatever she wants and I will always support her.

What are your child-rearing philosophies? I take it day by day and I just go with the flow and figure everything out as I go.

If you could give a word of advice or encouragement to other moms, what would it be? Just follow your heart and do what you think is right. People might not always support you but the ones that really matter always will.

Funny story you love to tell about Hadley and will never stop telling, even when she'd old and it embarrass her? Hadley does something every day to make me laugh so it's so hard to just pick one but I guess it would be her reactions when we take her to see the farm animals. She gets so excited and squeals and kicks her little feet and bounces up and down. It's the cutest. And of course there is always a meltdown after having to leave them.

Do you think moms have the power to change the world? If so, how? I think anyone has the power to change the world. Mom's are incredible people for all that they go through for their children and that makes each and every one of them so incredible.

Anything else? I'm so thankful that I was blessed with her an amazing baby girl. It's a gift that some women never get to experience and it's so saddening. I'm so lucky to be fortunate enough to have a healthy and beautiful baby.
